How we got here

From an internal side project to industry leader.

  • 2019 – 2022

    First prototype

We develop haptic solutions for gaming chairs, automotive, and industrial applications. Metahaptics becomes the core of our innovation. The first SimRacing prototype is born — at first more of a fun side project for internal use than an actual product.

  • 2023

    Product reveal

We show the prototype for the first time and the feedback is overwhelming. We haul simulators from race track to race track to put our Metahaptics algorithm to the test with critical racers, the ones who had avoided sim racing because something always felt missing. Late 2023 marks our first appearance at the SimRacing Expo. We collect feedback, and we listen. At this point, we're still far from a production-ready product.

  • 2024

    Strategy shift

Together with Recaro, we set out to bring the product to market with a major partner and present the joint solution at CES 2024. Shortly after, Recaro Automotive files for insolvency. The product can no longer be produced as planned. A setback that forces us to rethink our strategy: do a lot more ourselves.

In October 2024, we return to the SimRacing Expo with a much bigger presence. Shortly after, the first generation becomes available on the market. Several hundred units ship in 2024 — the first ones fully hand-assembled by us, in our own office. We celebrated every single early customer who trusted us that early on.

  • 2025

    Gen2 Launch

We process customer feedback fast, keep improving quality, and launch the second generation at SimExpo 2025. The focus stays exactly what it was on day one: the best quality, and a plug-and-play solution for anyone who just wants to drive.

We never planned to manufacture in-house.
Now we're glad we do.

We didn't originally set out to run our own production. The plan was to focus on development and let
partners handle manufacturing. But we quickly found out: every dependency slowed us down. Every external partner was another point where we lost control, over quality, over timing, over the product that actually reaches the customer.

So in the end, we did it ourselves. Completely.
The result: better quality, because we own every step. Fewer dependencies in production. And, most
importantly — we stay authentic and independent. No investor, no supplier, no partner decides what
our product looks or feels like. We do. Together with you.

Where does SensitHaptics go from here?

We're still just getting started. And there's a lot more we'll get better at, through our community's feedback, by genuinely listening to what you actually need. We're already working on making SensitHaptics feel right for everyone: finely tunable frequencies, vibrations, and amplitudes for the tech nerds among you, all the way to a dead-simple plug-and-play experience for anyone who just wants to drive. It has to work for everyone.

At the same time, we're working on making the integration of further immersive hardware as simple as possible. The kind of setup that normally eats up your time, we want to take that off your hands completely. Through everything we build, one thing stays at the center: the seat-of-the-pants feel. The connection to your car. We believe winning is one of the strongest motivators in motorsport, and you can only win when you have full control of your car. Through all this growth, one thing matters to me more than anything: that we never forget where we came from, and who was with us from the very beginning of this journey. Every single customer who helps spread our mission, through comments, likes, reviews, means an incredible amount to us. That's exactly why I love talking to you in person at trade shows. You'll always find me there. I love every single conversation about this passion for motorsport.

Because there's hardly another hobby where you drive home with 3rd place and think "there was more in it," or where, when someone asks "so, did you win?", you pause to decide whether to explain the entire race, every bit of potential and every good move, or just say "yeah, it was good." A hobby where you feel it completely when the car isn't working right on track, and you know exactly: damn, that hurts. But just as much a hobby where you celebrate because after 24 hours you didn't just bring the car home in one piece from the Nürburgring Nordschleife, but fought real, great battles within your class.

One of the few hobbies where the digital version can cost just as much as the real thing, and still deliver the exact same emotional feeling.

Thank you for being part of it.
